Betty Elaine (Long) Dyer

Betty Elaine Dyer, age 68, of Waverly, died Thursday, August 16, 2018, near Waverly.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 20, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Brookfield with Pastor Rex Leppin officiating.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield.  The family will receive friends Monday starting at 11:00am until the time of service.

Betty Elaine, the daughter of Robert Arnold and Lenora Pauline (Joiner) Long, was born January 15, 1950, in Denver, Colorado.  On November 19, 1972, she married Kenneth Dale Dyer.

Betty spent her time buying and selling antiques.  She enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, and going to the casino. Betty especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Dover and husband, James of Grandview, Kim Little and husband Hamilton of Waverly; one step-daughter, Debbie Conn of Longmont, Colorado; two step-sons, Darrell Dyer of Honolulu, Hawaii, Dwight Dyer and wife Myrna of Chariton, Iowa; two brothers, Roland Joiner of DeSoto, Iowa, Richard Long and wife Becky of Indianola, Iowa; one sister, Jennie Bartlett and husband Bob of Brookfield; four grandchildren, Jill Miller and husband, Joe of Concordia, Jessica Williams of Alma, Chassity Little of Waverly, Chelsea Smith and husband T.J., of Carrollton; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents; one son, Cary Dyer; three brothers, Thomas Long, Bobby Long, Stanley Long; one sister, Ann Pitts; one granddaughter, Rachel Williams; and one stepson, David Dyer preceded her in death.
