Logan Griffin Obituary

 

Logan Alexander Griffin, age 17, of Brookfield, died Monday, April 9, 2018, at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials in the form of a donation to the Brookfield Band Boosters may be left at or mailed to Wright Funeral Home, P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64628.

Logan Alexander, son of Justin and Nycole (Jones) Griffin was born September 16, 2000, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Logan was a member of Brookfield High School Class of 2019.  He was a proud member of Brookfield Marching Blue and he loved playing trombone. He was a member of Skills USA and studied Astronomy at the Joseph Baldwin Academy at Truman State University in Kirksville during the summer of 2016.

He was a Stream Team volunteer and helped with Brookfield Fire Department events.  Logan loved to help at the Parks and Recreation Halloween celebration and participate in Cosplay at comic book conventions.

Logan enjoyed spending the majority of his free time with his parents, whether they were fishing, hiking, lighting fireworks, traveling or just relaxing at home watching TV and eating junk food.

Logan was a regular blood donor and made the decision to donate his organs so that others may live.

Survivors include his parents, Justin and Nycole Griffin of the home; Grandparents, Tom and Debbie Morris of Brookfield; Grandmother, Joy Green of Oklahoma; Great-Grandmothers, Wilmatine Griffin of  Oklahoma and Nancy Bradshaw of Florida, Great-Grandparents, Billy and Crystle Morris of Brookfield;  and other close family members including, Ashley Jones and Stephen Knight and their children, Tamarah, Lilly and Skylar of Brookfield, T.J. and Megan Morris of St. Joseph, Jennifer and Eric Paden and their children, Marcus and Zia of Florida, Rick and Christie Griffin and their children, Dually, Denym, Dallie, Dawson, Brent, and Nikki of Oklahoma, Pam Coskey and her son, Tyler of Florida, Jacque Griffin of Oklahoma, Bill and Sandi Morris and their family of Brookfield, Rob and Sheri Jones and their family of South Carolina, Ed and Claudia Pleskach and their family of Nebraska, Deb Jones and family of Nebraska, Jodi Burns and family, Jennifer Wood and family, Matthew Griffin and family, Jessica Griffin and family, the Kohler family, and the Laman family.  He is also survived by his beloved pets, Kona, Salsa and Miss Puss Puss; and many friends and other family members.

Logan was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Donald Neal Griffin, Jr.; Great-Grandparents, Henry and Joann Bradshaw; and Great-Grandfather, Donald Neal Griffin.
