Marjorie (Sargent) Brobst

Marjorie Brobst, age 95, formerly of Meadville, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.

A funeral service will be Sunday, March 18, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Meadville with Pastor Keith Sisney officiating.  Burial will be in Meadville Cemetery in Meadville.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.

Marjorie Mae, daughter of Arthur and Frances (Cloud) Sargent, was born April 16, 1922, in Meadville.  On April 11, 1945, she married Theodore Glenn Brobst who preceded her in death on October 7, 2007.

Marjorie was a homemaker.  She also worked for 21 years for Reed Seeds in Chillicothe as a bookkeeper, retiring in 1985.

She was a member of the Meadville First Baptist Church, Busy Bee Club, and Home Culture Club in Meadville.

Survivors include 5 children, Karen Behrman and husband, Mike of Marceline, Carol Anderson and husband, Mike of Chillicothe, Connie Quigley and husband, Greg of Chillicothe, David Brobst and wife, Pam of Chillicothe, and Allan Brobst of Wheeling; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 8 great great-grandchildren; one sister, Ethel Thompson and husband, Donald of Chillicothe, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Beverly Schneider; five brothers, Harold White, Harry Sargent, Raymond Sargent, Charles Sargent, and Larry Sargent; and two sisters, Dorothy Thieme and Ruth Sargent.
