Theresa Foster, age 90, of Sumner, died Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Life Care Center in Brookfield.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor Charles Littrell and Gail Brown officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Sumner. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Theresa Marie, daughter of James and Thelma (Linscott) Ponting, was born March 26, 1928, in Cunningham. On March 15, 1947, she married Wayne Allyn Foster.
Theresa was a 1945 graduate of Sumner High School and a lifelong resident of Sumner. She also attended Chillicothe Business College where she finished the Complete Course.
She was a homemaker, business woman, and volunteer. She also spent many years working with Wayne on the family farm.
She was a member of the Sumner United Methodist Church where she served as Sunday School Superintendent and active in the United Methodist Women for several years, and the Swan Lake Extension Club in Sumner. Theresa was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she donated her time as the Extension Council Member for several terms. She was also a member of the Chariton County Porkettes and represented the county on the State Porkette board for several terms and the Missouri Pork Producers Association.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Ann Summers and husband, John of Triplett and Gloria Janette Foster of Mendon; one daughter-in-law, Candice Lee Foster of Niceville, Florida; seven grandchildren, Jeremey Bailey of Smithville, Aimeé Dorman and husband, Chris of Erie, Colorado, Natalie Watson and husband, Alex of Glasgow, Chris Foster and wife, Natalie of Jacksonville, Florida, Jodi Bonderer and husband, Doug of Chillicothe, Sabrina Brown and husband, Aaron of Triplett, and Ginger Klingel and husband, Gary of Keytesville; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Sluter of Kansas City; and one brother, Richard “Dick” Ponting of Hale.
Her parents; one son, Roger Allyn Foster; and three brothers, James Merlin Ponting, John Lewis Ponting, and Linn Scott Ponting preceded her in death.
