Bonita Evans, age 73, of New Boston, passed away, Thursday, March 23, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Bonita Carol, daughter of Arnold Buford and Marilyn (Logan) Stanley was born on March 22, 1950, in Brookfield, MO. On July 12, 1969, she married Steve Evans.
Bonita spent most of her life as a housewife and cared deeply for her family. After many years at home raising her children she became the secretary alongside her husband, at Green City Livestock Market.
Bonita had many hobbies she enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning, flower gardening, antique shopping, decorating her home and spending time with her children, grand-children, and her great-grandchild.
Survivors include her mother, Marilyn Stanley, of Brookfield, her husband, Steve Evans of the home; two daughters, Bridget Jurgensmeyer and husband, Roy of Lees Summit, Angie McKay of Lees Summit; one son, Lance Evans of New Boston; five grandchildren, Steven, Briauna, and Braden Jurgensmeyer, Tyler McKay, and Hannah Evans; one great grandchild, Kaysen Garner; and several other friends and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father; one brother, Brad Stanley and one sister, Karen Stanley.
