Obituary

Bonita Elizabeth Stuart, age 84, of Brookfield, died Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at her home.  Graveside services will be announced and held at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield.

Bonita Stuart (Bradley), was born in Brookfield, Missouri on September 16, 1937 to Thomas Lee and Freda Mae (Carter) Bradley.  She married Rex Melvin Stuart on December 20, 1957 in Linneus. 

Bonita enjoyed traveling and having cookouts with her family. 

Bonita had formerly worked as a waitress, seamstress for many years at Stanbury Uniforms, an ad salesperson for Consolidated Enterprises, owned the Swinger in Marceline, co-owned rental property and the Canal Street Laundry for many years with her significant other Thomas (Tom) Huff, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three children, Pam Kleinhesselink of Brookfield, Dennis Stuart and wife, Melodie of Millstadt, Illinois and Gina Schneider and husband, Jim of Marceline; five grandchildren, Mandy Peacock, Denne Boykins, Kristen Bourgeois, Jamie Linebaugh and Kasey Schneider; eleven great-grandchildren (Katy, Abigail, Bethany, Samantha, Kaylee, Cody, Ozzie, Onyx, Bram, Laine and Caine; one brother, Jack Bradley, Napa, CA; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rex Stuart; one granddaughter, Heather Stanfield; one brother, James Wesley (Buck) Bradley, two sisters, Janice Ellen Louis and Margaret Quintine Cupp.
