Charles “Danny” Reese, age 74, of Brookfield, passed away, Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield. Loved ones will receive family and friends, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor David Blakely officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield with Military Honors rendered by VFW Post #4557 of Brookfield.

Charles Danny, son of Charles Seborn Reese and Opal Lois (Langley) Reese-Jones, was born August 22, 1949, in Benton, Arkansas. Danny served in Vietnam from 1968-1969 with the United States Army. On January 17, 1970, he married Linda Leftridge, who survives the home.

Danny worked as a mechanic most of his life. He enjoyed snagging, hunting, hanging out at Extreme Recreation, fishing, and really loved putting his brother Arnold to work when he would come to visit. He enjoyed his time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and all his friends. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, working on the farm with his boys from dusk to dawn, and mowing the yard.

Survivors include his two sons, Chuck Reese, and wife, Julee of Brookfield, Joey Reese, and wife, Cindy of Brookfield; grandchildren, Charlee Reese, Jenna Domon, Katee Stroud, and husband, Billy, Steven Burns, and wife, Ashley, Carmen Hadley, and husband, John, Chelsea Dye, and husband, Brice, MaKayla Walters and Collin Reese; great-grandchildren, Raena, Lily, Ian, Jase, Jaxen, Jensen, Kenzie, Lilee, Layla and Tristian; four brothers, Johnny Reese, and wife, Judy, Rickey Reese, and wife, Erin, Arnold Reese, and wife, Dana, Curtis Reese, and wife, Rhonda; one brother in-law, Michael Leftridge;  and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws; one son Steven Reese; his three brothers, Norman, Wayne, and Doug Reese; one sister, Debbie Higgins, one infant sister; and one brother in-law, Doug Leftridge.
