Charles Richard Wilson

Charles Richard Wilson, age 83, of Kearney, MO, formerly of Laclede, MO, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Oak Pointe Retirement, Kearney, MO.

Charles Richard, son of Cue and Helen (Shaffer) Wilson, was born on March 18, 1939, in Albany, MO. Charles served his country in The United States Navy from 1957-1961 as an E5 Naval Navigation Instructor. Charles was a 50-year member of the Masons, as well as a Shriner and a longtime member of the Lion’s Club.

Charles is survived by his children, Richard Wilson (Delores), Dallas TX; Susanne Neal (Andy), Linneus, MO; Clifton Wilson (Theresa), Hallsville, MO; and Danielle Owens, Chillicothe, MO; seven grandchildren, Amanda Richeson, Myckal Richeson, Austin Wilson, Tabitha L’Heureux (Bruce), Elizabeth Pacer (David), Aaron Schreckhise (Brooke), and Amber Tornow (Brad); six great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, as well as loving companion, Sharon Wilson; and loving friends Carrie Herron and Rick Herron.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, and one niece.

Masonic service will be held at 5:45 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2022, with visitation to follow from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Brookfield. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Rex Leppin officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Laclede Cemetery, Laclede, MO.
