David Kenneth Hanna

David Kenneth Hanna, age 78, of Laclede, MO, formerly of Boone, IA, died Friday, September 3, 2021, at his home.

Services will be held at a later date in Iowa. Memorials are suggested to MSA Coalition and may be left at or sent to Wright Funeral Home, P.O Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64628.

David, son of Kenneth and Wanda (Smith) Hanna, was born May 10, 1943, in Forest City, IA.  On February 10, 1962, he was united in marriage to Nancy Kay Lathrum at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA.

Dave graduated from Johnston High School, Johnston Iowa, in 1961, and attended Central College in Pella, IA. He was employed at Heinrich Envelope Co in Boone for 40 years. He officiated baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball and football for the Iowa High School Athletic Association and Union for thirty-five years and was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, Boone IA.

Survivors include his wife Nancy, of the home; four children, Dana Kramer (Brian) of Urbandale, IA, Michael Hanna (Tracie) of Indianola, IA, Julee Reese (Chuck) of Brookfield, MO, and Meryn Rees (Cameron) of Greensborough, Victoria, Australia; ten grandchildren, Kyle (Katie) Kramer, Derek Kramer, Zachary (Rose) Hanna, Britnie Hanna, Katee (Billy) Stroud, Jenna Domon, Charlee Reese, Mitchell, Hamish, and Elyssa Rees; one great granddaughter, Raena Stroud; one sister, Jayne St. Germain; as well as several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Terry Hanna
