Donna Mae Grant, age 91 of Hamilton, formerly of Brookfield, passed away, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at her home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor James Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.

Donna Mae, daughter of Samuel and Clara Susan (Seaman) Moore, was born July 21, 1931, in Browning.
Donna was a 1949 graduate of Marceline High School. On November 4, 1955, she married Howard W. “Slim” Grant. After his enlistment in the U.S. Air Force, Donna spent the next 26 years as a military wife, homemaker, and mother. After Howard returned home it was Donna’s opportunity to start a career of her own. She worked various jobs in the Brookfield community but was best known for her time as manager of Brookfield Village Apartments and librarian, at Carnegie Library.
Donna loved to dance and cherished the time she spent with her family. She always said, “love you more.”
Donna was a permanent member of the Eastern Star in Brookfield and #1 Chiefs and Royals fan!
Survivors include five children, Deena Smith of Hamilton, Ronnie “Ron” Grant (Patricia) of Brookfield, Rosa Lambert (Tony) of Hamilton, Brian Grant (Deana) of Shawnee, Kansas, and Cary Grant of Maysville; 19 grandchildren, Crystal Orr-Conger (Robert), Clarissa Smith (Jarred Davis) Grant Smith (Alexis), Felicia Wilson, Dianna Kroush (Chris), Imagene Loucks, Angel Reece, Rochelle High (Justin), Justin Wilder (Sarah Barrett), Cory Wilder (Whitney), Derek Lambert (Beth), Ashley Lambert, Cody Lambert (Hannah Washer), Joshua Bethards, Madison Grant (Kamren Lent), William “Austin” Grant (Rylie Riddle), Mariah Grant, Kayler Grant, and Elizabeth “Ashley” Phanpruet (Michael); 45 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Clara Susan Moore, her husband, Howard Grant; one great granddaughter, Ellyana Mae Phanpruet; one sister, Clara Tanner (Bobbie), two brothers, William “Bucky” Moore (Lydia) and Eugene Moore (Pat); and daughter-in-law, Vanessa Grant.
