Edward Gerald Tillman, age 70, of Brookfield, died early Friday morning, March 1, 2024, at Liberty Memorial Hospital in Liberty, Missouri.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, March 29, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield.

Ed was born February 24, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio. His mother, Mary was later remarried to Dale Tillman, who adopted Ed. He grew up in Brookfield.
Ed graduated from Brookfield High School in 1973. He attended Moberly Area Community College. After college, he worked in construction as a union carpenter, millwright, and pipe layer. His hobby was taxidermy, and his work won several awards over the years.
On March 6, 1987, he married Marsha Zorn in Brookfield. He is survived by his wife, Marsha, of the home; daughter, Holli Tillman, of the home, and son, Travis Tillman, of Iowa, as well as a daughter, Jamie McClure, of Washington from his previous marriage to Deborah Tallmen. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Glenn Zorn, of Bradenton, Florida, and Darrell Zorn and wife, Ellen of Chillicothe; sisters-in-law, Barbara Huddleston, of Springfield; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ed loved history, and during the last few years, he was involved in local historical research. Recently he published a book relating to the search for the Holy Grail. He was working on a memoir at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Mary Tillman.
