Eldon Turner, age 74, of Brookfield, passed away, Sunday, August 29, 2021, at University Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 5, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor Rex Leppin officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Brookfield. Visitation will be Saturday, September 4, 2021, from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening at the funeral home.

Eldon Leroy, son of Albert and Vera (Bennett) Turner, was born August 20, 1947, in Brookfield. On August 28, 1976, he married Debra Kay Bonnett, who preceded him in death on March 28, 2016.
Eldon was a 1965 graduate of Brookfield R-3 High School. In 1970, he graduated from the University of Truman with a Bachelor of Science. Eldon then attended the University of Missouri, Rolla, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Following graduation, Eldon began working for the Missouri State Highway Department retiring in 2006, after 30 years of service.
Eldon was a member of the Laclede Sportsman’s Club and the Eagle’s Lodge and Elks Lodge in Brookfield. He was also a member of the Master Gardeners Club and Horizon Credit Union where he was an active board member.
Survivors include his three daughters, Desiree Jury and husband, James of Brookfield, Sabrina Buntin and husband, Kevin of St. Joseph, and Amanda Ewigman and husband, Allan of Kansas City; eight grandchildren, Garrett, Carsyn, Cooper, and Ryder Jury of Brookfield, Kendall and Lauren Buntin of St. Joseph, Landon and Eloise Ewigman of Kansas City; one sister, Coleen Turner of Chillicothe; and many cousins.
His parents also preceded him in death.
