Helen Lipka, age 91, of Laclede, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Brookfield with Fr. Kelechi Uzuegbu officiating and Father Jerry Kaimann concelebrating. The Mass of Christian burial will be live streamed and recorded on www.icbrookfield.org. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with a rosary beginning at 4:45 p.m. and a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Local services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield. A second Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at the St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Scottsdale, Arizona under the direction of Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery in Scottsdale, Arizona. Burial will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 23015 Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, Arizona.

Helen, daughter of Stephen and Helen (Vojtek) Bahleda, was born November 8, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio. On January 14, 1950, she married Joseph Lipka who preceded her in death on August 14, 2013. They were married for 63 years.
In 1973, Helen and Joseph had the pioneer spirit to pack up and move their family across country from Seven Hills, Ohio to Scottsdale, Arizona. They later spent many years in Fountain Hills, Arizona. They were long time members of the Catholic Church of the Ascension in Fountain Hills, Arizona.
Helen retired after nearly 20 years of service to Scottsdale Public School District as head baker in the central kitchen. She served over 2000 children every day.
Helen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, always attending class trips and serving as room mother for class parties. She enjoyed bowling and was a league member for many years. She always made time for her family and supported them at all of their events. In 2015, she came to Missouri to live with her daughter, Deborah and husband Jim.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookfield.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Tollerton and husband, Jim of Laclede and Michelle Carlton of Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren, William James Tollerton and wife Whitney of Nevada, MO, Michael Carlton II of Phoenix, AZ, and Victoria Carlton Rolfe and husband Brandon of Peoria, AZ; one great-grandchild, Joseph Augustus Rolfe; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents: and seven siblings, Mary DonVito, John R. Bahleda, Joseph E. Bahleda, Steven Bahleda, Margaret Bahleda Pastor, Michael J. Bahleda and James P. Bahleda also preceded her in death.
