David “Jack” Davis, age 75, of Laclede, passed away, Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Pioneer Skilled Nursing in Marceline.
Funeral services are planned for Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor Ron McPherson officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date.

David Allin, son of Gail and Dorothy (Creason) Davis, was born October 25, 1945, in Brookfield. On October 21, 1987, he married Gail Preston.
Jack worked as a maintenance man for the Brookfield Village Apartments for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved all animals, especially his dogs.
He is a member of the Laclede Baptist Church and the Laclede Sportsmen’s Club.
Jack loved life and lived through his pain knowing that he would spend eternity in Heaven with his daughter, Melissa . We feel comfort knowing that he knew the Lord and is no longer hurting.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Davis of the home; one son, Jamie Jackman of Galt; three grandchildren, Matthew Jackman and fiancée, Katlyn Huff of Brookfield, Allison Jackman of Linneus and Jacob “Gibby” Jackman of Meadville; one great-grandson, Grayson Huff and little brother on the way, Jayden Taylor Jackman both of Brookfield; one brother, James Davis and wife, Sherry of St. Charles, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Jackman; his parents, Gail and Dorothy Davis, two brothers, Bill Davis and Leo Davis; and two sisters, Margaret Cowan and Ruby McBee.
