James Matthew Melton, age 61, of Meadville, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023, at the Johnson County Care Center in Warrensburg, Missouri.
A celebration of James’s life will be held at a later date.
James Matthew, son of Norris L. and Norma L. (Kesler) Melton, was born October 4, 1961, in Chillicothe, MO.
James worked as a mechanic for a short time. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his two brothers; Norris Melton Jr. and wife, Dana of Chillicothe and Richard Melton and wife, Dana of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Judy Hicks and Linda Miller.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home, Brookfield, Missouri.
