Jeanne Kathryn (Brown) Taylor

Jeanne Kathryn Taylor, age 95, of Meadville, passed away, Friday, March 11, 2022, at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Meadville Cemetery in Meadville with Pastor Rex Leppin officiating.  There will also be a celebration of Jeanne’s life held at a later date.

Jeanne Kathryn, daughter of Carl Alexander and Florence Amanda (Dent) Brown, was born August 15, 1926, in Brookfield.  On December 7, 1946, she married Jay Robert Taylor, who preceded her in death on January 15, 1997.

Jeanne was a graduate of Brookfield High School. 

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Meadville. She was an Eastern Star for over 50 years at Maple Leaf Order of Meadville and  later joined the Florance Order of Brookfield. Jeanne was also a member of the Wednesday Club of Meadville and enjoyed square dancing.

Survivors include her son, Dave Taylor and wife, Patti of Meadville; two step-grandchildren, Michael Timmons and wife, Katie and their son, Harrison of Magnolia, Texas, and Jonathan Timmons and wife, Stephany and their children, Eathan and Evan of Gardner, Kansas; one nephew, Ed Roith and wife, Pat of Kansas City and their children, Eddy and Cherri Roith of Kansas City; one niece, Linda Noll of Liberty and her children, Jason Noll and wife, Krisie and their children, Justin and Zack of Liberty, and Kathy Barber and husband, Matt and their children, Hayden, Savannah and Noah of Connecticut; and one cousin, Cherie Dent of Chillicothe.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gilbert Brown and wife Lorene, and Nobel Brown and wife, Harriet.
