John Richard Routledge

With profound sadness we announce the death of John Richard Routledge, age 44, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Brookfield. He died unexpectedly on July 21, 2021, in Ashville, North Carolina.

John Richard, son of Gary and Barbara (Fromme) Routledge, was born October 4, 1976, in Denver, Colorado.  In 1982, they made Brookfield their home. 

John was a 1995 graduate of Brookfield High School where he made several lifelong friends.  In 2001, he packed up and moved to South Carolina.  John loved playing golf and rebuilding cars and vintage stereo equipment. Most recently he was spending time building his own computer.

John worked many years as a Senior Field Operations Analyst for Verizon Cellular.

Survivors include his parents, Gary and Barbara Routledge of Brookfield; his brother, Charlie Routledge of Brookfield; aunts and uncles, Rich and Lyn Fromme of Coupeville, Washington and Herb and Gail Keenan of Belverde, Texas; special friend, Geneva Futch of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; former wife, Robyn Campbell of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; several cousins; and many great high school friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Services are pending at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield.
