Joyce Curley, age 68, of Laclede, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at her home.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Reverend Joe Wright officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Laclede Cemetery at a later date.

Joyce Rae, daughter of James and Doris (Corbin) Bunn, was born July 13, 1955, in Grinnell, Iowa. On May 28, 1999, she married Danny Curley.
Joyce grew up in Malcom, Iowa and was a 1974 graduate of Brooklyn Guernsey Malcom High School. She was a manager of a truckstop when she met Danny and relocated to Laclede, Missouri. Here she worked at McLarney Manor in Brookfield for a time before beginning her 17-year career as the activities director at Senate Bill 40 in Brookfield. Joyce also served on the Laclede City Council and was the former Mayor of Laclede.
Joyce loved being a grandma and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was a member of the Laclede Baptist Church and attended bible study each week at SB40 with friends.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Curley of the home; four children, Matt Probasco and wife, Tonya of Tama, Iowa; Craig Probasco and wife, Kory of Montezuma, Iowa, Wendy Abbott and husband, Noel of Smithville, and Lacey Adams and husband, Jeff of Independence; eleven grandchildren, Tyla Probasco, Jaret Probasco and wife, Marley, Tanner Probasco, and Jaedon Probasco of Tama, Iowa, Katie Dunsbergen and husband, Carson, and Addyson Probasco of Montezuma, Iowa, Sadie Abbott and Ellie Abbott of Smithville, and Kyle Adams and wife, Kassandra, Parker Adams, and Sydney Adams of Independence; six great-grandchildren, Keele, Oliver, Siena, Scarlett, Sage and Silex; one sister, Brenda Fisch of Montezuma, Iowa; one brother, Denny Bunn of Sedalia; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Esther Bunn; sister-in-law, Debbie Bunn; and brother-in-law, Dave Fisch.
