Larry Dean Head

Larry Dean Head, age 84, of Brookfield, passed peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2023, at McLarney Manor in Brookfield.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 2, 2023, at11:00 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor Charles Littrell officiating.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield.  Visitation will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Larry Dean, son of Norman and Pearl (Jirmars) Head, was born December 23, 1938, in Bucklin.  On May 25, 1963, he married Jewell Louise Burns.

Larry was a 1956 graduate of Bucklin High School.  He worked several years at North Missouri Lumber as well as a route man for Rainbow Bread Company in Brookfield for 35 years.

Larry enjoyed working in his yard and garden.  He also had a passion for woodworking and loved the game of baseball.

Larry was a member of South Eagle United Methodist Church in Brookfield.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jewell of the home; two children, Julie Meek and husband, Rick of Brookfield, and Jason Head and wife, Robin of Chesterfield; three grandchildren, Casey Meek of Brookfield, and Emersyn and Anderson Head of Chesterfield; one sister, Norma McBride and husband, Scott of Brookfield; two brothers, Ronnie Head, and Roger Head and wife, Diana both of Bucklin; sister-in-law, Jean Harrell of Sedalia; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Pearl Head; in-laws, Cecil and Fleta Burns; one sister, Connie Wehner; sister-in-law, Donna Head; and brother-in-law, Jerry Harrell.
