Louella Hulett Obituary

Louella Hulett, age 87, of Brookfield, passed away, Friday, December 4, 2020, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield with Joe Smith officiating.

Memorials to American Cancer Society or American Lung Association may be left at the cemetery or mailed to Wright Funeral Home, P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64628.

Louella Magalene, daughter of Clarence Luther and Pearl Rebecca (Gullick) Cady, was born December 13, 1932, in Brookfield.  On August 27, 1948, she married Luther Warren Hulett, who preceded her in death on October 31, 1993.

Louella was a lifelong resident of Brookfield. She retired from A&P Grocery Store and later worked for Tooey’s clothing and United Missouri Bank in Brookfield.

She was a member of Park Baptist Church in Brookfield.

Louella enjoyed playing golf and working crossword puzzles.  She loved TV gameshows, cooking and sewing, and most of all her family.

Survivors include her three children, Roger Hulett and wife, Donna of Brookfield, Joyce Holt and husband, Jeffrey of Shawnee, Kansas, and Janet Heary and husband, Kevin of Paola, Kansas; four grandchildren, Joshua Hulett and wife, Laura of Platte City, Jordan Lichtenberg and husband, Adam of Marceline, Leslie Young and husband, Mike of Liberty, and Megan Sipershteyn and husband, Ilya of Trimble; 11 great grandchildren, Caden, Chase and London Hulett, Westen, Natalie and River Lichtenberg, Sarah, Ryan and Isabel Young, and Calin and Cason Sipershteyn; one sister, Esther Reams of Brookfield; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Her parents; an infant son and daughter, David Allen and JoEllen Hulett; two brothers, Harold and Gerald Cady; two sisters, Doris Palmer and Betty Burris; three brothers-in-law, Glenn Burris, Clifford Palmer and Ralph Reams; one sister-in-law, Anna Cady; and one nephew, Donnie Cady also preceded her in death.
