Lowell McKenzie, age 102, of Brookfield, formerly of Linneus, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022, at McLarney Manor.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Reverend Bob Kimmis officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Linneus. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Lowell, son of William Edward McKenzie and Clara McKenzie (Couch) was born August 13, 1920, in Linneus. He married Edna (Williams) McKenzie on April 2, 1944, and they were married for 76 years. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2020.
Lowell was a member of the Linneus First Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for many years. He was a member of the Lions Club and served on the board for MFA and Locust Creek Township as well as many other boards.
Lowell was a lifelong farmer and served on the USS Norfolk as a Merchant Marine during World Ward II. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, playing cards and gardening.
Survivors include his two daughters, Sue Hollon and husband, Bill of Pleasant Valley and Marvella Palmer and husband, Jim of Brookfield; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Hollon and his Fiancé Annette Patton of Kansas City, Eric Hollon and his wife Vicki of Kansas City, Josh Palmer and wife Crystal of Brookfield, and Jesse Palmer and Carrie Trouskie of Springfield; and 12 great-grandchildren, Carter and Benson Hollon, Kenadie and Tyler Hollon, Collin and Jacob Frawley, Colton, Nathan, Daniel, and Ruger Palmer, and Molly and Katie Palmer; one sister in-law June McKenzie and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son Mike McKenzie, one brother William E. McKenzie Jr.
