Margaret McQueen, age 62, of Purdin, died Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at St. Luke’s North Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 28, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Linneus with Pastor Aaron Skinner officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Goshen Cemetery west of Princeton, Missouri. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday with the family receiving friends from 5:00-7:00 in the evening at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield.

Margaret, daughter of James and Fredricka Johnson was born December 14, 1958, in Trenton, Missouri. On April 25, 1981, she married Dennis McQueen.
Margaret was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her flower garden and playing board games. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Linneus and the Linn County Historical Society where she was an instrumental part of organizing the publication of the Linn County History Book. She fulfilled her civic duty as an election official at county polling stations.
Survivors include, her husband, Dennis of the home; two daughters, Sarah Amsden and husband, Matt of St. Louis and Cheyenne McQueen of Purdin; one son, Asa McQueen of Reston, Virginia; one granddaughter, Scarlett McQueen of St. Louis; one brother, Stan Johnson and wife, Pam of Princeton; and one sister, Sarah Dannar and husband, Larry of Trenton.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Sam Johnson; and one sister, Peggy Grindstaff.
