Marietta Grace Boley

Marietta Grace Boley, age 88, of Brookfield, passed away, Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center in Marceline.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor Rex Leppin officiating.

Marietta Grace, daughter of Andrew William and Elsie Mae (Watts) Patterson, was born May 25, 1935, in Brookfield. On August 19, 1950, she married John Edward Boley who preceded her in death on January 28, 1999.

Marietta worked at the A&P Grocery Store, Sears and later retired from Wal-Mart. She was an active member of the Freedom Baptist Church and the Women’s Mission Union.

Marietta enjoyed playing cards, camping, traveling, fishing, spending time with her friends drinking coffee and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include one stepson, John Boley Jr. of Kansas City; her four children, Vickie Cashatt, and husband, Jim of Brookfield, Michael Boley, and wife, Susie of Plano, Texas, Richard Boley, and wife, Jo of Brookfield and Mary Branson of Holt Summit; sixteen grandchildren, John G. Boley, Damien Boley, Jessie Boley, Autumn Boley, Catherine Goenner, Glenn Bragg, Ashley Thieme, Dakota Cashatt, Cheyenne Cashatt, Kelly Pavlovsky, Heather Boley, Stacey Brown, Rick Boley, Dustin Branson, Sarah Shoemaker and Samantha Branson-Hamilton; several great grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn Lankford; and one half-brother, Andrew Patterson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Edith Bowen and Lois Bowen.
