Marilyn Linscott, age 89, of Mendon, died Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield.
A graveside service will be Friday, October 2, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in Lakeside Cemetery in Sumner with Pastor Joe Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield.

Marilyn Arline, daughter of John and Clara (Graham) Guilford, was born February 26, 1931, near Sumner. On September 25, 1953, she married Donald Linscott who preceded her in death on May 1, 2007.
Marilyn graduated from Sumner High School and later graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia with a degree in Home Economics and then worked as a Social Worker. Upon returning to Sumner as a homemaker, she served as Mayor of Sumner and was a member of the Sumner United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Duane Ro and Barbara Linscott of Mendon and Errol Dean and Darlene Linscott of Leawood, Kansas; three grandchildren, Jesse Ryan and Meghan Linscott of Sumner, Curtis Duane Linscott and friend, Matthew Koons of St. Louis; Matthew Errol Linscott of Leawood, Kansas; a granddaughter-in-law, Joann Linscott of Brookfield; three great-grandchildren; Diana Linscott, Weston Linscott and Griffin Linscott; one brother, John Robert Guilford and wife, Shirley of Brookfield; one sister, Carolyn Maberry of Manhattan, Kansas; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Her parents; an infant, baby Linscott; a grandson, Nathan Linscott; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Maberry also preceded her in death.
