Marilyn Mundell, age 86, of Blue Springs, MO., formerly of Brookfield, MO., passed away, Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Cedarhurst Assisted Living in Blue Springs, MO.
Marilyn was born and raised in Ethel, MO. Following high school, Marilyn attended the University of Missouri, where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority and received her bachelor’s degree in Home Economics.
Following her college graduation, Marilyn married Richard Mundell and they settled in Brookfield MO.
Marilyn was an accomplished pianist who began playing the piano at a young age after her grandfather “Grandpa John” bought her a piano. Marilyn loved to travel and took many memorable trips throughout the US and Europe. Her favorite place of all was Honululu, HI.,a place she visited many times- sometimes staying for a month at a time.
Marilyn worked as an Independent real estate agent in Brookfield for several years. She was an active member of PEO and was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist church.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Richard, infant son Michael, and her parents Finis and Alva Byler.
Marilyn is survived by her son Tom, daughter in law Shanna, and granddaughter Lauren.

A private graveside service will be held.
