Marvin William “Bud” Springer, age 92, of Wheeling, died Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Morningside Center in Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 13, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Marty James officiating. Burial to follow at Botts Cemetery in Meadville. Visitation will be Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield.

Marvin William, son of Dewayne Eldore and Leona Cosette Springer, was born September 19, 1931. On March 5, 1960, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Marie Cross.
He graduated from Meadville High School in 1949 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Bud farmed his entire life except for time in the service and farmed with his wife for 49 years before she passed away in June of 2009. He farmed with his son Justin until he passed in April of 2004 and continued with his grandsons, Jeff and Matt. Bud was a member of the Meadville Church of Christ. A past Linn County Farm Bureau President, a member of the American Legion in Meadville and the Linn County Tractor Club. Bud enjoyed showing antique tractors and participating in shows and tractor drives.
Survivors include one daughter, Kim Albertson and husband, Kenny of Wheeling; two grandsons, Jeff Albertson and wife, Angela of Wheeling and Matt Albertson and wife, Emily of Meadville; five great-grandchildren, Kiah Potts, Quin and Ellis Albertson, Annistyn and Willow Albertson, and one on the way; one sister-in-law, Shirley Isaacs of Norborne; and nieces, nephews and their families.
His parents; wife, Bonnie Springer; one son, Justin Springer and wife, Charlotte; one sister, Mary Jo Surber and husband, Donald; one brother-in-law, Jack Issacs; nephews, Wesley Isaacs and John Surber; and one niece, Jennifer Hall preceded him in death.
Special thank you to all of the Meals on Wheels volunteers who delivered meals to Bud and were a bright spot to his day. He enjoyed visiting with all of you. And to the employees at Morningside Center who took such good care of him in his final days.
