Maysel Pauline (Lynch) Crist, age 95, of Kirksville, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022, at McLarney Manor in Brookfield.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at New Boston Cemetery in New Boston with Pastor Jim Fitzgerald officiating.

Maysel was born July 8, 1926, along with twin brother, Warren “Bucky” to Willie Ellis and Gertrude Beatrice (Hayes) Lynch. She grew up in the New Boston area, graduating from Bucklin High School in 1943. She attended Kirksville Teachers College and started her teaching career at the age of 18. Maysel traveled by train to California to marry Raymond Crist on April 27, 1945. They were the proud parents of Michael Ray and David Ellis Crist.
After living in Meadville and Marceline the family moved to Kirksville, MO. Retiring after 43 years in the classroom, Maysel enjoyed reading, playing solitaire, and doing puzzle books. She was an awesome cook and a creative, loving grandma adored by her four granddaughters.
Maysel is survived by her sons, Dr. Michael Crist (Peggy) of Brookfield, MO and David Crist of Kirksville, MO; brother, Bucky Lynch and sister-in-law, Mildred of Brookfield; brother-in-law, Robert Crist of Columbia, MO; granddaughters, Melissa Anderson (Justin), Amy Couch (Damien), Shelli Gordon (Nathan), and Megan Claybrook (Jeff); and 12 great-grandchildren, Madison Gordon, Griffin Anderson, Beau Gordon, Trey Claybrook, Raegan Anderson, Mia Couch, Alex Couch, Ryenn Gordon, Dax Couch, Finn Claybrook, Piper Anderson, and Luke Claybrook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents, Buck and Gertie Lynch; and father and mother-in-law, Evert and Erna Crist.
