Obituary

Phyllis M. Craig, age 84, of Liberty, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away, Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Liberty Health and Wellness in Liberty, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.

Phyllis Marie, daughter of Fessie and Hallie (Darr) Minor, was born August 1, 1938, in Brookfield.  On January 27, 1957, she married Robert Eugene Craig who preceded her in death on July 24, 2015. 

Phyllis worked as a keypunch operator for Trans World Airlines for over 25 years.  After her retirement she enjoyed planting and caring for plants and flowers.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Ann Craig of Excelsior Springs, and Brenda Walker and husband, Ron of Wood Heights; three grandchildren, Bradley Walker of Lock Springs, David Craig and children of Platt City, and Jennifer Craig and children of Platte City; two great-grandchildren, Jessika Craig and Emily Craig; two sisters, Linda Lane and husband, Gary of Brookfield, and Shirley Brown of Liberty; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Her parents, Fessie and Hallie Minor; a son, Steven Craig, a grandson, Joshua Craig; and brother-in-law, Larry Brown also preceded her in death.
