Shirley A. (Smith) Severa

Shirley A. Severa, age 86, of Brookfield, passed away, Sunday, July 11, 2021, at McLarney Manor in Brookfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Brookfield.  There will be no scheduled visitation.  A private family burial will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Brookfield.

Shirley Anne, daughter of Anthony P. and Leatha (Pillers) Smith, was born August 27, 1934, in St. Louis.  On July 13, 1956, she married Bernard V. Severa who preceded her in death on November 11, 1998.

Shirley was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookfield.

Survivors include her children, Michael Severa and wife, Cindy of Brookfield and Shellie Severa and husband, Kevin Haywood of Fernley, Nevada; three grandchildren, Andera Switzer and husband Ryan of Marceline and their children, Vance, Nora, Valan, and Ava, Bryan Severa and his wife, Amber of Brookfield, and their children, Rozlyn, Maizee, Jozie, and Adler, and Dennis Nusbaum and his wife, Rebecca of Los Angeles, California and their children, Brianna, Alexander, Mason, and Avery; one sister, Lea Pemberton and husband, Don of Breckenridge; several nieces and a nephew.

Her parents; a brother, Harry Smith; and husband, Ben preceded her in death.
