Evelyn “Sue” Gaunt, age 78, of Brookfield, died Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Pioneer Skilled Nursing in Marceline, Missouri.
Graveside services will be held Monday, May 22, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Park Lawn Cemetery in Brookfield with Pastor Ron McPherson officiating.

Evelyn Sue, daughter of Rex Lavon and Thelma Mae (Brown) Kimbal, was born August 5, 1944, in Brookfield. On February 26, 1962, she married Russell Gaunt who preceded her in death on May 26, 2015.
Sue owned the Knick Knack Shop for several years in Brookfield and later spent 15 years working customer service for Wal-Mart. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and friends and she enjoyed going to the casino.
Survivors include her two daughters; Tammy Phillips and husband, Lanny of Marceline, and Sandy Willis of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Jana Gardner, Melissa Barnes and significant other, Sam, Rusty Phillips and wife, Savannah, Kelsi Hoyt and husband, Matthew, Shelby Guilford, Sheldon Guilford and significant other Gabbi, Sheridan Guilford and significant other Caleb; and great grandchildren, Lennon, Cash, June, Dane, Lottie, Jolie, Maddyn, Landyn, Eli, Angel and Wrenley.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Steve Gaunt; two brothers, Kenny and David Kimbal; and one sister, Patty Cook.
