Trudy Lynn (Linebaugh) Thompson

Trudy Thompson, age 69, of Brookfield, Missouri, formerly of Shelbyville, Kentucky, passed away, Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at her home.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor David Blakely officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 in the evening at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Shady Lawn Cemetery near Shelbyville, Kentucky at a later time.

Trudy Lynn, daughter of Orville Dale and Lois Marie (McDannald) Linebaugh, was born July 3, 1954, in Brookfield.  On October 13, 1973, she married Ronald Lee Thompson of Brookfield, who preceded her in death August 3, 2007.

Trudy was a 1972 graduate of Brookfield High School and spent most of her career in loan operations in Shelbyville, Kentucky.

She was a member of the Park Baptist Church in Brookfield, Missouri and the Hempridge Baptist Church in Shelbyville, Kentucky.

Trudy was a fun-loving spirit and had a passion for quilting.  Her greatest accomplishment was her grandchildren and loved to share her talents of cooking and making candy with them.

Survivors include her 4 sons, Raymond Thompson and wife, Mary of Marceline, Missouri, and Kevin Thompson and wife Janet, Jeremy James Thompson, and Charles Thompson and wife, Cindy all of Shelbyville, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren, Mikeal, Jaycee, Dylan, Brandyn, Kristyn, Cody, Ellyn, Kaitlyn, Gracie, Emily, and Hunter Thompson; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Sandra Hudson and husband, Bob of Laclede, Missouri and Karen Mason of Hale, Missouri; 2 brothers, Douglas Linebaugh and wife, Nancy of Mission, Texas and Terry Linebaugh and wife, Diana of Brookfield, Missouri; mother-in-law, Margie Thompson of Brookfield, Missouri; her best friend, Pam Drummond of Brookfield, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.
