Vaunda Clark, age 87, of Brookfield, MO, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022, at her home.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Brookfield. Graveside services at Rose Hill Cemetery with Pastor David Blakely officiating will be held following the visitation.
Vaunda Mae, daughter of Andrew Donald and Atha Eller (Baggs) Van Doren, was born on February 25, 1935, in Goldsberry, MO. On October 12, 1952, she was united in marriage to Neal Elmore Clark, he preceded her in death on May 22, 2007.
Vaunda was a resident of Rothville, MO for 64 years. She was a member of the Rothville Baptist Church where she was baptized. Vaunda spent many years working at Brown Shoe Factory and after its closing, she worked for Stanbury Uniforms until her retirement. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. Vaunda loved to spend time with her family.
Vaunda is survived by her two children, Connie Dodd (Greg), Brookfield, and Terry Clark (Lisa), Maysville; seven grandchildren, Rick Barclay, Chillicothe; David Bendure (Mandy), Brookfield Jennifer Bowen (Tracy), Rothville; Daniel Clark (Shanna), Maysville; Evan Clark (Meghan Downey), St. Joseph; Katie Brown (Bob) Frisco, TX; and Amy Dodd, Chillicothe; as well as nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Neal Clark, her infant son, Gary Wayne Clark, and one granddaughter in law, Stephanie Barclay.
