Virgil (Candy) Moore, age 81, of Purdin, died Friday, August 20, 2021, at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center in Marceline, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor Bob Kimmis officiating. Burial will be in Purdin Cemetery in Purdin, Missouri. The family will receive friends Friday, August 27, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Virgil (Candy), son of Earl Dean and Pearl Mae (Sprague) Moore, was born October 8, 1939. On February 9, 1968, he married Sandra Kay Gelski.
Virgil was a long time truck driver for Midland Brick and Glen Gery Brick of Utica. He also worked for Purdin Processing.
Survivors include his wife, Kay of the home; one daughter, Sara Wilkson (Rick) of Higginsville; one son, Justin Moore (Angela) of Purdin; seven grandchildren, James, Shauna, Cael Wilkson of Higginsville, Rachel Moore of Green City, Jaired Moore of Marceline, Emma Browder and Tristan Truitt of Purdin; two brothers, Evert Moore of Laclede and Earnest Moore of Brookfield; one brother-in-law; four sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
His parents; three sisters; and four brothers preceded him in death.
