Carol Lee Stichler, age 79, of Gravois Mills, died Saturday, November 22, 2019, at her sister-in-law's home in Brookfield, MO.
Carol Lee, daughter of Lloyd and Lola (Clark) Orr was born January 5, 1940 in Kidder. On February 8, 1958, she married Larry Milan Stichler.
In addition to her devotion and love for her family, Carol had worked as a waitress for many years. In retirement, she was active in two bowling leagues,
a cornhole league, loved playing bingo with the girls and traveled with family and friends. Carol also enjoyed volunteering her time as a Lady Elk, Lodge #2705 in Laurie and at Share The Harvest in Greenview as well as many other Community activities.
She is survived by three children, Tamra Lynn Bittner (Larry) of Warsaw, Terry LeeAnn Stichler (Don Jackson) of Brookfield and David Wayne Stichler (Linda) of Gravois Mills; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy, Matthew, Chad and Kevin Wright, Michael McLaury, Krystal Lauhoff, Lee Stichler, Amanda Wheeler, Amber and Leah Stichler, 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Norma Roberts (Lee) of Pleasant Valley; sister-in-law, Patty Orr and many beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Larry Stichler, a brother, Lyle Orr and a granddaughter, Mickey Stichler.
A celebration of her life will be held, Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 5 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge in Brookfield. There will also be a celebration held at the Elks Lodge in Laurie, January 11, 2020 at 2 p.m. .
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Brookfield Senior Center or the Lady Elks in Laurie, MO.
