Doyle Edward, son of Elmer and Ila (Kehr) Leppin, was born February 26, 1941, in Meadville.  On June 12, 1960, he married Patricia Ann March who preceded him in death on August 31, 1995.

Doyle was a farmer and a lifelong resident of the family farm in Meadville, a Missouri Century Farm established in 1909.

Doyle had a passion for giving his family and friends rides in his airplane.  He especially enjoyed giving Young Eagles their first ride.  Over the years he took 665 youth on their first flight, certifying them to become Young Eagles.  This large number of flights ranked him #4 in the nation for certifications completed.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and artifact hunting.  Doyle also enjoyed playing the guitar and was a member of the former “Flipside” and later the “Rusty String’s” band.
