Louise was born south of Meadville, MO, on October 29, 1926, the third daughter of Greenfield “Pete” Cooper and Ruth Marguerite Belshe Cooper. She worked in the War Department in Washington, D.C., following graduation from Wheeling High School. While attending cosmetology school in Maryville, MO, she met and married Melvin Keith Atwood. Following his untimely death, she and their daughter returned to Meadville. On June 28, 1949, she married James B. Muck, and began the adventure of being an army wife, first in Germany, then in several different army bases, always keeping the home fires going when James was deployed. Together they raised seven children. Louise loved gardening, fishing, reading, crocheting, quilting, Word Search, bull riding and cowboys, and most of all her family.  Louise is survived by three sons, Jim, Jr. and Karen Muck, Larry and Teresa Muck, all of Meadville and Gerry and Joyce Muck of Liberty; four daughters, Jeannie and Dee Friesner, Sandy and Andy Myers, all of Meadville, Ann and Jerry Beebe of Chillicothe, and Susie Cummings of Barnesville, Georgia, 21 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Martha and Glen Johnson, Evelyn Moner, Dixie Singleton, and Lucille Bowyer, brother-in-law Ron and Doris Muck, sister-in-law Wanda Wren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother William Franklin Cooper, sister Helen Lois Atwood, son-in-law Jack Cummings, and two great-grandsons, Dakota Friesner and Kanaan Dowler, her first husband Keith Atwood, and her beloved husband of 65 years, James.
