Mildred Bailey

Mildred Bailey, age 90, of Brookfield, died Friday, November 9, 2018, at McLarney Manor in Brookfield.

A visitation and funeral service celebrating her life will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the service at 11:00 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Joe Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield.

Mildred Maxine, daughter of Theodore and Margaret (Stoddard) Thudium, was born March 28, 1928 in St. Catharine.  On June 7, 1946, she married Billie J. Bailey who preceded her in death on September 26, 2005.

Mildred was a loving Mother and homemaker.  She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Brookfield and the Gloom Chasers Club in New Boston.

Survivors include three daughters, Janet Brockman and husband, Charlie of Brookfield, Rhonda Alexander and husband, Ted of Bozeman, Montana, and Margaret Rose Jones and husband, Kem of Kansas City; ten grandchildren, Shawna Olsen and husband, Shawn of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Chad Enyeart and wife, Kara of Laramie, Wyoming, Bailey Morton and wife, Mandy of Brookfield, Brandee Kalinke and Dustin Boone of Overland Park, Kansas, Beth Ann Kehr and husband, Tony of Purdin, Bowe Brockman and wife, Trisha of Brookfield, Chris Farris and wife, Bobbi of Platte Wood, Shelby McGuire and husband, Richard of Lee’s Summit, Jeff Jones of Kansas City, and Michelle Jones and Ron Brewer of Lee’s Summit; eleven great-grandchildren, Taylor Olsen of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Blane and Colton Enyeart of Laramie, Wyoming, Jacob Morton and Cassie Walton of Columbia, Kaylee Morton of Trenton, Addison Kalinke of Overland Park, Kansas, Madilynn Lumsden, Shayne Lumsden, Hayden Kehr and Rylee Kehr all of Purdin, and Macey Cavanah of Lee’s Summit; one sister, Shirley Markoe and husband, Jack of Irvine, California; one brother, Gene Thudium of Brookfield; one son-in-law, Kenneth Enyeart of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and two sisters-in-law, Lorene Bailey of Independence and Bette Brown of Coronado, California.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billie of 58 years.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Enyeart; one sister, Kathryn Butterfield; and one brother, Wayne Thudium.
