Reta (Haley) Wohler

Reta Wohler, age 80, of Brookfield, formerly of Purdin, died Monday June 29, 2020 at McLarney Manor in Brookfield. 

Funeral services will be Monday, July 13, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor Rusty Abbott officiating.  Burial will be in Purdin Cemetery in Purdin.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Reta, daughter of George E. and Thelma R. (Grice) Haley, was born on July 16. 1939.  On June 1, 1957, she was united in marriage with James E. Wohler. 

Reta worked as a LPN at Pershing Memorial Hospital then worked as the school nurse at Linn County R-1 until she retired.  She was also co-owner of JR Package in Purdin from 1988 till 1997.  She was active in Daughters of the Revolution and the Grantsville Club.  She was an avid reader and loved doing genealogy. 

Reta is survived by twin daughters and their husbands: Karin and Terry Riepe, and Karmen and Rick Goosey.  She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Deborah Wohler, 5 grandchildren: Jessisca, James, Jennifer, Jacob, and Tara and 3 great-grandchildren: Brynlee, Cole, and Kaden.  Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

Reta is preceded in death by her husband, her son, Kenneth, her parents, and her 3 siblings.
