Stephen Scott Stewart, Jr.

Stephen Stewart, age 61, of Brookfield, died Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his home.

A graveside service will be Sunday, April 25, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Wheeling Cemetery in Wheeling with James Jenkins officiating. Services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield.

Stephen Scott, Jr., son of Stephen Scott, Sr., and Amy Marie (Dowdy) Stewart, was born September 1, 1959 in Banner Oak, North Carolina. He married Beth Eves of Crossville, Tennessee; later married Sandy Dahly; and the last 19 years he has been with Joyce Isaacs, his significant other.

Stephen worked several years as a machine operator for a manufacturing company.  He was the sole provider of his two girls and enjoyed watching Tennessee football, Nascar and Law & Order.  When Steve wasn’t watching his T.V. favorites, you could find him dancing to karaoke in his living room with Joyce or spending time with his girls.

Survivors include two daughters, Shannon Stewart and Sierra Stewart of Brookfield; his significant other, Joyce Isaacs of Brookfield;  three brothers, Todd Stewart and wife, Melissa of Gallatin, Tennessee, Frederick Craig Stewart, and Johnathan Israel Dowdy of Crossville, Tennessee; one sister, Tina Boggs and husband, Grady of Roswell, Georgia; nine nieces and nephews, Mykisha Tai Stewart of Douglasville, Georgia, Chynna Tierra (Tia) Stewart of Douglasville, Georgia, Zachary Stewart of San Diego, California, Camille and Kevin Walkup of Clarksville, Tennessee, Chasity Nichole Dowdy, Brittany Nichelle Dowdy, Jacob Grady Boggs and Erin Marie Boggs all of Roswell, Georgia.

His parents; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles preceded him in death.
